About Al-Meskiah Adventures

Al-Meskiah Adventures is a project started by Donna, Laila, and Houmam Kassar as a way to explore different avenues to uplift the Muslim community and empower artists and authors. As Muslims we have the responsibility to uplift one another, and that is exactly our goal. There already exists many talented Muslim creatives that we believe deserve to be shared and celebrated. We believe that providing children with powerful Muslim stories will help them feel represented and inspire them to pursue their dreams without limitations.

Our Mission

At Al-Meskiah Adventures, our purpose is empower children with the love of reading while uplifting authors, artists, and our Muslim community.

What is Al-Meskiah?

We were inspired to name our project Al-Meskiah, which was a part of the ancient marketplace in Damascus, where our family roots originate. In Damascus, this was the oldest and most established shopping centre and included the city's first bookstore!
